Take Back Our Town
Chatham Party to Host Campaign Fundraiser at Sear’s Park Sunday, September 25th
East Hampton, CT; September 14, 2011 – The independent Chatham Party is kicking off its campaign for the fall elections with a hearty, home cooked Sunday lunch at Sear’s Park on September 25th from 1:00-5:00pm.
The Chatham Party invites those who joined together at the Pavilion last fall to help organize the successful petition drive, and those who signed the petition, to come back once again to renew old friendships and to meet the candidates. Those who want to learn about the Chatham Party also are invited to come down to the lake for good fellowship, a good meal and to have questions asked of and answered by the candidates.
Bill Marshall, Chatham Party candidate for the Board of Education and organizer of last year’s petition drive, said, “Our town has been stuck and has failed to move a number of important projects forward largely because of the inability of elected town boards to work effectively to meet town needs. The Chatham Party team is committed to inter-board cooperation so that such needed projects are accomplished. We are Democrats, Republicans and Independents who have united under a third party banner with a community first theme. If you agree that it’s time to put partisan bickering behind us and to put the community first, then the Chatham Party wants to talk with you.”
