My name is Elizabeth Whitty.  I've lived in East Hampton most of my life and attended East Hampton schools in the 60's and 70's.  My family has lived in East Hampton for five generations.

My daughter Laura Bengston graduated from East Hampton High School in 2005. Having had the privilege of an excellent education from our schools, and from university's in our region, I hope that I can help our community and in particular our our school system continue to provide for our students what I got - an excellent education that has instilled in me a love of learning and a desire to help others have the same.

I recently earned my Master of Arts degree in humanities from Wesleyan University. Before that I attended Boston University's School of Management and was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in marketing.  I graduated from Mercy High School in Middletown. Currently, I work for The UConn Foundation at the Health Center Campus in Farmington as Associate Director of Development for the School of Dental Medicine, our preeminent dental school.
